“He told them, “You don’t get to know the time. Timing is the Father’s business. What you’ll get
is the Holy Spirit. And when the Holy Spirit comes on you, you will be able to be my witnesses
in Jerusalem, all over Judea and Samaria, even to the ends of the world.”
Acts 1:7-8 The Msg.
God empowered every person and generation alike to participate in the preaching of the Gospel through their everyday lives. I believe that the everyday believer becoming the everyday evangelist is the primary way God is going to rapidly and effectively win souls for Christ and advance the kingdom in the twenty-first century. The bible gives us clear examples of how the first-century church exploded in number, power, and effectiveness, not only by the actions of its leaders, but by the witness of every born-again believer. If we practice those same principles coupled with the same zeal as the first-century church, our local churches today would undoubtedly experience exponential growth.
Don’t Let this Harvest Pass!
“The twenty-first century church will not experience the greatest church growth, nor the most gifted preachers, singers, or missionaries; it will miss the charities of the greatest givers, the prayers of the greatest intercessors, and be spared of the most powerful congregation until the everyday believer is empowered and released to evangelize in their everyday lives.”

So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you. Romans 12:1-2 The Msg.
